Homemade Organic Body Scrub

Few days back when team from Allarash contacted me to do a photoshoot of a body scrub for their annual calendar, I was little hesitant to take up the offer. As they say there is always a first time for everything…I thought of giving it a try. First I thought I will click a picture of a store bought body scrub….but later I decided to try making one at home. When I posted the picture of the scrub on Instagram, I got tremendous response and most of them have asked me to share the detailed recipe of this Homemade Organic Body Scrub. So here is it for you….
I rarely use beauty products, not because I am allergic to them…but somehow I am not so fond of them. Blame it on age or weather, at some point of time your skin calls for extra care. Most of you know how sultry and dry the weather is in Chennai, but past few days the temperature in the night is very cool, making the skin even drier. To remove the tan from the hot sun we get on our skin during day and to moisture our skin from the cold winter nights…I thought making a scrub which plays a dual role.
Upon searching and researching, I thought of playing with the ingredients. Though my aunts use to tell me to apply this and that homemade powders and pastes…over the period of time when I was in college or when I was getting married and after giving birth to lil’M…I hardly ever tried anything. So my dear aunties, this one is for you all. Hope you will be happy now to see your niece finally making a body scrub all by her and using it too…wink wink wink……
Homemade and organic are two most popular words these days. As most of the time we are not familiar with the ingredients used in a store bought beauty products, it is always safe to use homemade, organic and natural products. The ingredients I used in making this Homemade Organic Body Scrub can easily be found in our kitchen. Without any delay….Make it today…
